Hey guys! I was thinking the other day; I haven't properly introduced you guys to my best friend in the whole wide world. You've probably already seen her if you follow me on instagram, but today I've decided
that today we're doing the furry friend tag! Yayy! *round of applause* so let's get right to the questions.
1. What is your pets name?
Her name is Cookie. I decided to name her that because of the way she's colored. She's brown & black; which reminded me of a chocolate chip cookie.
2. What kind of pet is it and what breed?
Cookie is a dog & she's a carlin pinscher. In case you don't know what a carlin pinscher is that's a pug mixed with a miniature pinscher. They are also called muggins.
3. How long have you had your pet friend?
I've had Cookie for about 5/6 years.
4. How did you get your pet?
Ready for a long story cause here it goes lol. I would always talk to my friend about how much I wanted a dog. It was my absolute DREAM to own a dog of my own. My cousin had one, but she didn't let me play with him (I know rude). Anyways, I would tell my friend how if I had a dog how much I would love & adore it. I would also tell her how I wanted a girl dog because I wanted to dress her up (I know you're probably thinking there's boy clothes for dogs too & you're right, but I really wanted a girl).
One day my friend texted me. "Hey Jessica, my pug just had puppies with my sisters miniature pinscher. Do you want me to save you one?" I kid you not I cried. I cried so much because my dream of finally owning a dog was going to come true. My life would finally be complete. I texted her back faster than lighting... "Yes yes yes please" She then said "I know the perfect one for you."
I convinced my parents for weeks. I showed them facts about how owning a pet would help lower stress & help with depression. Then one day I finally heard the word I was looking for "Yes"
5. How old is your pet?
She's 6 years old.
6. What is your favorite memory with your pet?
My favorite memory with my pet has to be when we picked her up from my friends house.
It was raining & I was texting my friend thanking her over a million times. My heart was so overwhelmed with so much joy. And I was in pure disbelief that my dream was going to come true in a matter of a few minutes. After, I got my friends address my dad drove my brothers and I to go pick up my dog. At this point my heart was pounding so hard it almost popped out my chest. Then my dad gives me the bad news. Words I wasn't hoping to hear. He tells me that he could find my friends house.
We park and I text my friend quickly. "I can't find your house" I got out the car and started looking for her house on foot. My friend text me back saying how she was going to come find me. Even with the rain pouring down on me I continued to look and look for her house. I was just about to give up hope & go to the car when I hear my dad scream "Jessica is that your friend over there?" I turn around and sure enough I saw my friend standing under a street light. I walk towards my friend & time seemed to have slowed down as I got closer & closer.
When I got to where my friend was standing she was holding a blanket and in the blanket was a tiny little dog. She hands me the dog and it was shivering. My friend said so here you go. I still couldn't process that my life was now complete because I had a dog of my own. I was so happy. Held the dog close to me so it could feel my warmth. Then the dog nuzzled a little on my neck.
Then get ready for the tear jerker. I got my very first kiss from my dog that day. She licked my cheek & I started to cry. At that moment it all started becoming real to me. My dream was now a reality. I held her so close to me. She was so soft & she smelled like strawberries. I was on cloud 9 from that day forward. I thanked my friend a million more times & than I went back to the car. My brothers began playing with her & my dad drove directly to Walmart to get her a bowl & some food.
7. What are some quirky things about your pets personality?
She is so smart. She was real easy to potty train.
8. What does your relationship with your pet mean to you?
oh words can't even begin to describe my relationship with her. She's my best friend. I love her to death, without her I'd be lost.
9. What are some of your favorite past times with your pet?
Running after squirrels with her. I let her know when I see a squirrel and then we chase it until I goes up a tree.
10. What are nicknames you call your pet?
Some nicknames I call my pet are:
Kiki & ookie.
