The truth behind Love Island USA's Johnny & Mercedes

Hey everyone so last night (9/28/20) Mercedes from Casa Amor uploaded a video to her YouTube channel. The YouTube video was titled "What Happened Under The Sheets: Love Island (season 2)." 

In this video Mercedes does a Q&A where she goes through questions she was sent on instagram. She also spills some tea on Johnny and I'm here to bring that tea to you. 

One of the questions that was asked was:

"Why did you say you didn't wanna hear Cely's name?" 

To which Mercedes response:

"Oh my gosh... I feel like this is such a heavy question because everyone keeps asking. When I was saying I didn't wanna hear Cely's name, I want you guys to fully understand how I was feeling in the moment. I literally didn't wanna hear her name because the actions that Johnny was showing I felt where a little "what are you doing bro" you know... I felt like he was being selfish because if I'm going to be expressing my feelings for someone and I truly mean them. I don't think I need a getaway to mess with a guy and do all this stuff to get "clarity" on a relationship that I truly care about. So to me I was I don't wanna hear Cely's name because you look like a fool cause how you're acting. And your actions are like what dude? You know what I mean. So it wasn't like negative, it wasn't anything towards Cel. I just didn't see his actions adding up, but obviously it was portrayed differently on the TV. Just keep that in mind." 

Next question her friend asks was "What is the Johnny tea" 

To which Mercedes response:

"ooo sis buckle up" and proceeds to take a long sip from her straw to then goes on to choke a little and says "Oh my God, I shouldn't have done that." She goes on to say "I wanted to make this video for you guys because I wanted to clarify some things. Kinda just close the chapter on the Johnny and Mercedes at Casa Amor. I want to start off with saying I take full accountability coming in hot as heck into Casa. Ok, your girl was cooped up from July to September released with the boys and I didn't the best that I could in the situation that I was in, but honestly the image that was portrayed isn't me. Keep in mind we're on a reality TV show. And yes I did kiss some boys. Who doesn't kiss some boys. OK that doesn't make me a bad person. Keep on mind I came into Casa Amor single; first of all let's just say that. I'm single in Casa. They gave us limited time and I was trying to find the best connection. That is the whole point of the show is finding the best connection. If you guys watch love island right now how many people have jumped around with the people in the villa. Like that is the whole point of the show is finding the best connection. And I feel like a lot of people don't understand that. You guys are all wanting to know what happened under the covers... right? *laughs* ok first and foremost we didn't not have sex. Let's just clarify that from the beginning like it did not happen. No I would never do that. I have self respect. Ok, for all you guys saying that I don't because I kiss some boys doesn't add up to me but no. I don't just sleep around and I'm definitely not gon a be sleeping at Casa like ummm no. But did we get a little touchy? yes... 

did Johnny leave out some details? yes. And honestly like I don't want to throw Johnny under the bus. He is a great person he has a great personality. I seen some great qualities but I did  also see some stuff that's like ummm. Didn't really add up. Like you're over here kissing me and coming on to me outside of challenges *snaps fingers* Y'all here that key word outside of challenges. So it kind of messed with my head to where I was like ok is there something here... let me continue to pursue this. Ok I told him first and foremost if you're going back to Cely like I don't want to be just a fun girl like I know my worth and that's not saying I'm worth more than Cely it's saying hey like I don't wanna be that girl where you need to get away from Cely to get "clarification". Honestly it just sounds selfish I get you're on Love Island but honestly if you're telling the things that you were telling Cely it just doesn't make sense when you come to Casa and you're like wilding out too. You know what I mean outside of challenges. So it confused me. And that's why I continued to purse Johnny because he was coming on to me as well. I want you guys to realise that I wasn't just me throwing myself at Johnny. Like umm no that was also mutal it was coming right back and that's why your girl was going right back *laughs*. But honestly like I said he has a great personality and that's something I look for in a guy so yeah I was like ok let me see what this is about. But then when I figured out what it was real quick he was just trying to have some fun away from Cely. I was like ummm no not with me not gonna happen so then I was like k see ya... like I wish you the best like gave him a big old pep talk to go back to Cely and I was like I still want to be your friend. Honestly you need to let her know what happened because she needs to know. She deserves to know. Like if she was me I would like to know as well. Now they're boyfriend and girlfriend so all I can say is I hope you know for Cely's sake the he is a better man. Hopefully he got some clarification is what he said. But I thought it was still a little selfish but it's fine. That's on him for him to clear it up with Cely. She's a great person.... he's a great person. I'm sure outside of love island they are really completely different in some little ways. Yeah I hope Johnny treats Cely right honestly but with that being said I think I cleared everything up." 

She goes on to say she has nothing against Cely or Johnny.
