I know I wrote about this in a different blogmas post a few years ago, but if you haven’t read it I’m going to talk about it again anyways so you don’t miss out on what I said lol. I heard this question on the radio a few years ago and it was would you rather give gifts or get them. They had a bunch of people call in with their answers. Loved hearing what people had to say so that’s what encouraged that blog post a few years ago.
For me, it’s very simple. I would rather give gifts. I love seeing the look on their face Christmas Day when they’re opening up their presents and it’s exactly what they wanted. That makes my heart feel full. All year long I pay attention to what the people around me have mentioned they want or things they liked when we would go to the store. Then I save up for Christmas and get them what they want. If I don’t manage to get them what they want for Christmas I save up and get it for them on their birthday.
The look on their face is enough for me and I honestly couldn’t ask for anything else on Christmas. What about you guys? Do you like giving gifts or receiving?
