DIY crochet garland || #Blogmas 2017

Hey everyone so today I decided to bring you a fun DIY that you can do with just yarn. It's every simple & you can do it in a flash.

If you don't know how to crochet. Follow this tutorial I found on Youtube.

This pattern is the only thing you'll need to learn to do this garland.

My square is 13 chains long & 9 going up. So that's about medium size. If you want smaller sized squares just make less chains. The chains determine how your square will turn out.

-If you're confused... check the picture below to know what I'm talking about-

What you do first is you measure your window (or where you want to put the garland) to see how many squares you approximately need.

Once you've done all the squares if you want to make some bows like I did, just fold the square in 3 (fold hamburger style). Then take some string & wrap the middle a few times. Next, tie it so it doesn't come undone.

Once you have everything completed, the next step is to put it together. To do this you need to take the same yarn you used to make this & cut small sized pieces. These will be used to tie everything together.
Get one square & then a bow (or another square if you decide not to make bows) pass the yarn through a corner of the square and onto the bow. Once you've done that tie it together & cut off any excess yarn. Continue doing this until you have connected everything together.

Now once everything is connected; at the every ends of the garland tie a long piece of string. This will be used to hang the garland where you want.
-I tied my garland to my curtain rod-

Finished product should look like this...
