Let's talk about the kdrama Hello, Me!

Hey everyone! Today we are going to be talking about the kdrama "Hello, Me!" Be alerted now that this post contains spoilers so if you haven't seen this kdrama before and don't want spoilers then stop reading now and come back when you finish :)

Hello, Me is a kdrama thats aired on kbs2 network on February 17, 2021. You can also find this kdrama on Netflix. This kdrama is 16 episodes long but each episode just keeps you wanting more each time so you'll probably binge watch this whole drama in one sitting. 

This kdrama is about a woman named Ban Ha Ni. She is a woman who is 37 years old and lives a pretty shitty life despite the fact that she was REALLY REALLY popular when she was younger. What lead her to live this life was a very heart breaking thing that happened to her when she was younger. 

When she was younger she really wanted to be a kpop idol. One day they were holding auditions and she really wanted to go, but the auditions were during school so she decided to go to the auditions but she used one of her classmates who had a HUGE crush on her as an excuse. She told the guy who had a crush on her if he drank milk she would go out with him. So he did but since he's lactose intolerant he quickly had to go to the bathroom. While he was in the bathroom Ban HaNi texts the guy that it's over and she heads to the kpop auditions. 

During the kpop auditions she is doing so good but her parents come and they take her home. When they were driving home they were lecturing her and Ban HaNi gets so mad that she wants to go follow her dreams so she steps out the car. She runs into traffic. Then a huge truck comes and like all kdramas do it that part is in slow motion. The truck is honking the horn so loud and Ban HaNi was just standing there frozen. Later we see her dad push her out the way and the truck hits the dad. 

The dad passes away and Ban HaNi thinks her dad death was because of her so she feels guilty. Well, then when Ban HaNi goes to the hospital she meets her younger self. The nurses at the hospital think she's crazy, but they both escape the hospital. 

The whole kdrama they are trying to send 17 year old Ban HaNi back to her original time line but they can't send her back to they encounter some problems. At first they try to pass 17 year old Ban HaNi as the daughter of 37 year old Ban HaNi.

I really loved seeing 37 year old Ban HaNi turn her life around when her 17 year old self shows up. Her 17 year old self shows her how happy she used to be and gives her so many pep talks that 37 year old Ban HaNi gives herself a makeover. 

I also liked seeing the relationship form between 37 year old Ban HaNi and Han Yu Hyeon (who is the son of the owner of the confectionery Ban HaNi works in later on in the drama). There are so many cute scenes with Ban HaNi & Han Yu Hyeon that each time they interact you'll be like "omg so cute ^_^." 

There's also another character who is in love with Ban HaNi since they were in school. This guy was the guy that had a HUGE crush on her and was lactose intolerant. But he's like ehhh you know when him and Ban HaNi come on you dont feel the same chemistry as her and Han Yu Hyeon. Maybe because she doesn't like him lol. 

Even though there's another guy in the mix it's so obvious so early on in the drama that Ban HaNi and Han Yu Hyeon were going through fall in love. They're the cutest <3. 

This kdrama is so good. Highly recommended it. So many good lessons in it too that makes you stop and think. There's also so many funny & cute moments. This kdrama has EVERYTHING; it will even make you cry. The only thing I'd change about this kdrama is that I wish it was a little longer.
