Kdrama Tag
Hey guys welcome back to my blog. So I found this kdrama tag here and it looked like fun so I wanted to try it.
1. Your Favorite Kdrama
There are so many good ones, but one of my favorite kdrama is "I'm not a Robot"
2. Your Favorite Male Lead Character
My favorite male lead character is Kim Min-kyu (Yoo Seung-ho) his acting in I'm not a robot was top tier also his smile is so adorable! Love him so much.
3. Your Favorite Female Lead Character
My favorite female lead has to be Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung) loved her role in Weight Lifting Fairy. I don't think anyone else would've made that character any better than she did.
4. Your Favorite Male Third Wheel Character
This is a tie between Song Kang's character in love alarm, Hwang Sun Oh, and Hwang In Youp's character in true beauty Han Seo Joon. These two being in love with the main female lead and not getting them in the end makes me so sad. I'm STILL not ready to talk about it.
5. Your Favorite Female Third Wheel Character
Again I'm going to go ahead and pick another person from Love Alarm and that is the one and only Park Gul mi played by Go Min Si. I don't know if she's considered a female third wheel but I think she is because she liked Sun Oh and tried to compete for him in the start. Also, I absolutely LOVED her character Gul mi so much. This character made watching Love Alarm 2 tolerable. She's the BEST!
6. Your Favorite Song from a Kdrama OST
Every single kdrama I've watched has had very good OSTs that I can't choose a favorite, but if you want to see my favorite kdrama songs I made a list on Spotify. I update this list as I watch different kdramas check it out. (Click here)
7. Your Favorite Line/s by a Male Lead Character
8. Your favorite Line/s by a Female Main Lead
The last one is so relatable to me because that's exactly what happens with me.
(Kdrama: weightlifting fairy Kim Bok Joo)
9. You’re Favorite Line/s by a Male Third Wheel
(Love Alarm)10. Your Favorite Line/s by a Female Third Wheel
This one comes from love alarm 2 where Gulmi is shown being emotional when she talks about how hard she's had to work to try and become an idol and how they didn't want her because of the color of her skin.
11. Your Favorite Dialogue
12. Your Favorite Story
One of my favorite story lines is the Touch Your Heart kdrama. I loved how (SPOILER ALERT) Oh Jin shim an actress who is trying to get back on her feet manages to get workaholic lawyer Jung rok to step out of his work bubble and learn to have fun while he helps her to learn to do things she's not used to do.
13. Your Favorite “I Love You”
This I love you from Goblin and the Angel Of Death was so funny
14. Your Favorite Kiss
15. Your Favorite Ending
My favorite ending was in fight for my way (spoiler alert) they go to the roof top to drink and talk. They talk about how Ae ra and Dong Man are going to get married the next day and eventually they end up falling asleep and when the group of friends wake up Ae ra wakes up and remembers about the wedding and Dong Man and the rest of them are like "what wedding?" So Ae ra is so confused and Dong Man is like I'm going to love being married to you. So they all laugh and wave by to the camera and thanks you for watching.
16. A Kdrama You Started But Can’t Finish
A kdrama called "He's Beautiful" that kdrama was that interesting for me. Watched two episodes and I couldn't watch the third one. It was boring to me.
17. A Kdrama You’ve Watched More Than Once
I haven't watched a kdrama more than once.
18. The Worst Kdrama You’ve Watched Until the End
Love Alarm 2. I think we can all agree love alarm season two wasn't good. It felt really rushed and I didn't like the way they didn't even mention nor left off where they ended in season one.
19. Your Best Actor
I can't pick only one. I've loved every single kdrama I've watched and I thought the actors were good
20. Your Best Actress
I can't pick only one. I've loved every single kdrama I've watched and I thought the actors were good
21. Your Worst Actor
From the kdramas I watched they all act really well.
22. Your Worst Actress
From the kdramas I've watched they all act really well.
23. Your Best Couple
I've watched so many kdramas that there's so many cute couples to pick from but these are some of my favorites
(Angel Eyes)(Weightlifting fairy Kim Bok Joo)
24. Your Worst Couple
THEM THEM THEM 100% THEM.
We all know that it should've been them together in the end...
Plus I ain't forget what she did to poor Seo Joon and he went crying on the stairs. He freaking loved her and she was too blind to see that. Even when the hey were going out as guy and girl she would STILL talk about Sun Oh like STFU you dumb ass.
25. Your First Kdrama
My first kdrama I watched was "I'm not a Robot" when I sat down to watch it with family once I loved it so much. There's so many cute romantic scenes in it that I just fell in love.
26. Your Recently Finished Kdrama
I recently finished watching "Sweet Home" on Netflix. This kdrama had so much action from start to finish. I totally recommend it. If you're the type of person who doesn't like blood then I'm sorry this isn't the kdrama for you. There's alot of scenes with blood.
27. A Kdrama Loved By Many But You Didn’t Like
Like I said in a previous question... it's the kdrama He's beautiful. I thought it was a bit boring. Watched twould episodes and I just couldn't finish watching cause I thought it was boring.
28. A Kdrama Not Loved by Many But You Liked
I don't really know because I watch recommendations and what people tell me to watch is really good.
29. A Kdrama Which Made You So Happy
Every single kdrama I've watched I really enjoyed and made me really happy so I can't decide.
30. A Kdrama Which Made You So Sad
This is a tie between the kdrama "Angel Eyes" and "Uncontrollably Found" I dont want to spoil anything just in case someone reading wants to watch, but oh my gosh if you watch these kdramas just know you're doing to need a box of tissues.
Let's talk about Love Alarm Season 2
Hey everyone! Today we are going to be talking about love alarm season 2 so hopefully you've already seen it. Honestly I was really disappointed with season two.
The reason why I'm disappointed is because season 2 felt like a whole new kdrama and not a continuation of season 1. Remember how in season 1 they left it off where Jojo was in the middle of Sunoh and Hye yeong...
They didn't continue from this scene nor did they even reference it. Like also, what happened with the rally that was outside with the anti love alarm?
but you know what it did answer how Hye yeong got into the building without an invitation back in season 1. Remember how we all were like WTF? how did he get in without an invitation? turns out the job he got was working at love alarm.
Something else that I didn't like from season 2 was this... why was Dukgu's brother spying on him while he was at the hospital? Also, I didn't understand that whole Dukgu at the hospital... like, was he in a mental hospital because he jumped out the window in season 1 or was he in a coma and just woke up?
The things I liked about this kdrama was seeing Gulmi’s journey to get more hearts on the love alarm app. She was my favorite character so seeing more of her made me so happy.
What I didn’t like about her is how bad she still treated Dukgu when she finally got into the club she wanted and she saw him there. Like the way she was thinking "so I was the inspiration behind the love alarm app..." and then she continues to talk shit to him. I'm like MISS GIRL! I thought you wanted to meet the creator of love alarm and now that you find out YOU are the inspiration behind the app you treat him like crap because to you Dukgu is still that ugly boy from school.
Another thing I liked is when Sunoh went everyday to Yukjo's house when she was away to ring her door bell alarm since he couldn't ring her love alarm. This was his way of saying he likes her. You guys should have seen the look on my face when I realized why he was doing that lol. I was like...
Can we also talk about the guy that was stocking JoJo? What's up with him? This guy right here...
I didn't really understand why they included him in this season of love alarm. If his character didn't really have an important scene in the last season. He was part of the group of people that was found dead in the park during last season.Overall it was really refreshing to see the nice guy get the girl in the end and the second lead also getting someone in the end. Unlike some dramas that I STILL haven't recovered from *cough cough* True Beauty *cough cough*.
I feel like this season of this kdrama was so rushed. They had 2 whole years to make it good but unfortunately in my opinion it wasn't good. So what did you guys think of this season of the kdrama? Did you like it or no? What would you change/add to it? Let me know in the comments below or let me know in any of my social medias. I really want to hear your opinion :).
What I would've added to the Kdrama Love Alarm
What I would have added to the Kdrama True Beauty
Let's talk about the kdrama True Beauty
For today's blog post we are going to be talking about the popular kdrama that just ended on Feb. 4. That's right y'all we're talking about True Beauty. Just in case you've been living under a rock True Beauty is a kdrama based of a webtoon. The true beauty kdrama stars idol Cha Eun-woo (from kpop group Astro), actor Hwang In-yeop & female lead actress Moon Ga-young.
True Beauty Summary:
A student of Class 2-5 in Saebom High School who masters the art of makeup and transforms herself into a "goddess". Since childhood, Ju-kyung has been constantly discriminated by her family and bullied by her peers due to being perceived as ugly. This leads to her having an inferiority complex regarding her appearance and, worse, contemplating suicide. Eventually, she starts learning how to use makeup by binge-watching tutorial videos in the Internet. When she masters the art just before transferring to Saebom High School, her makeover proves to be transformative as she quickly rises to fame and her peers call her a "goddess". She tries her best to hide her real appearance from everyone but her classmate Su-ho, whom she had previously run into with her bare face a couple of times, later recognizes her beyond her makeup. In contrast to most girls, Ju-kyung is hooked to reading horror comic books and listening to heavy metal music. *source
I have so many emotions about this kdrama. Let's begin with this part...
Yes, the part where Suho breaks up with Ju-kyung. He breaks up with her and she's all sad about it right. This dude then has the audacity to come back and be all like "I missed you"
What really made me mad is that Suho kept on pretending like nothing happened and kept on "bumping into" Ju-kyung. Like if he really missed her after he broke up with her wouldn't he at least send her a "how are you doing" text when he was in America. BUT NOPE he kept her in the dark.
If I was Ju kyung I wouldn't have taken Suho back. Like no you broke my heart and I would have said if you really did miss me you would've called me or texted me. Like yeah he was with his dad in America and his dad was sick but sending a text literally takes only a few seconds.
Also, I get it the time difference between Korea and America was a lot and when it was day time for him it was night for her and vice versa. But like I said sending a text doesn't take long and if I really liked the person I would patiently wait for their response and I would read it whenever they sent it. Like if they sent it during the day and I was sleeping I would respond the next day.
Seojun on the other hand... Don't even get me started with this beautiful beautiful man. This man was there comforting Ju-kyung all this time.
And they had to do him like that. Also, what made me mad too is that Ju kyung never hugged him back once. He would hug her and she just rudely pushed him away.
Let's not even talk about the scene where poor Seojun was crying on the stairs after telling Ju Kyung that Suho was leaving to America again. I'm still not over this scene. Especially since it's all over my tiktok for you page. Like can tiktok not right now.
Another thing that made me mad about the ending of True Beauty is that everyone got a happy ending except Seojun. Sure he was able to debut as an idol but he looked really sad.
Like other fans of the kdrama True Beauty said that the ending feels rushed and I would have to agree. I just don't know how to explain it but it feels really rushed and it could probably have used a couple more episodes before the ending.
Also, can we talk about the scene where Ju Kyung and Suho did the nasty. I found that scene to be extremely unnecessary like Ju Kyung's brother said "oh sh*t my eyes" lol
I've been seeing some comments about the doing the nasty scene on tiktok and some people are saying that only team seojun fans found that scene unnecessary/cringe. I'm team seojun and I found that scene unnecessary because it like came out of no were. Like he was stopping her from leaving and then all of a sudden they were on the bed doing the nasty. I was like woah woah woah where did this come from. Its not cause I wanted it to be Seojun doing the nasty with Ju Kyung. What the hell y'all just reaching at this point.
I saw a tiktok that I wanted add here because I loved what they said. In the video I saw it made some valid points about Ju kyung. In the video they state that Ju Kyung was a horrible friend to Seojun. They also go on to state that even though she didn't like Seojun that way she couldn't even give him friendship energy when they were on the date as guy & girl.
Lastly, I want to say how beautifully made the kdrama was. It kept me really invested and there was times were 1hr wasn't enough. I wanted more and more. Also all the funny scenes that they had. Really liked that. What I would've liked tho was for Seojun to have some sort of a happy ending. Him debuting as an idol doesn't count as a happy ending in my book.
