Letters to Cookie

Dear Cookie,
It’s been 26 months since you passed away.

Today I cried. I was watching TV and in the show someone died and when the Doctor came out to tell the family they were like “we’re sorry, but they didn’t make it.” Which reminded me of when I got the devastating call the night you passed away. It’s been rough sometimes because I wish I could hold you and kiss you like I did before but you’re no longer here. Which sucks but I’m grateful for all the nice memories we made. And whenever I feel sad that you’re not here I remember one of those times and my heart fills with immense joy.
